Single Use Plastics (SUPs) is defined as products that are intended to be used only once or for a short time before being throw away. Plastic packaging and service materials such as shopping, garbage bags, forks, spoons, knives, stir sticks, cups, plates, straws, coffee capsules, coffe lids, etc. are SUPs materials.
In the production of SUPs, the GEMABiO SERIES compostable, biodegradable and bio-based bioplastic compounds offer green, sustainable alternatives. This series is developed for blown& cast film, injection moulding, thermoforming etc. applications and can be easily processed with conventional plastic processing equipments.
The GEMABiO SERIES bioplastics compounds comply with EN 13432 and ASTM D 6400 standards and have an “OK COMPOST INDUSTRIAL” certificate. The bio-based carbon content of our products has been determined according to EN 16640 and ASTM D 6866 standards and certified as “OK BIOBASED”.
