Establishment

In 1984, the first of the current group of companies was founded by Mr. Mehmet Aydın under the name Aydınlar Plastik A.Ş. and began operations in the plastics industry with injection moulding, serigraph printing, hot stamping, and pad printing. The company has continued its activities and achieved organic growth, successfully meeting the requirements of the white goods industry.

1984

New Machine Investments

It has doubled its production capacity by making new investments in injection moulding machines and the serigraphy line.

1990

Gema Polimer Brand

Gema Polimer Plastik Ürünleri San. ve Tic. A.Ş. was established and commenced its operations. Gema Polimer engaged in the import and export of industrial plastics such as PE, PP, ABS, PS, PA, and PC, as well as the recycling of industrial plastic waste derived from raw materials such as ABS, PS, and PP at its facility in Istanbul.

1996

Factory Investment in Izmir City

Gema Polimer established its second production facility in the İzmir Aegean Free Zone. With this investment, Gema Polimer launched its production activities in the Masterbatch and Compound sector using state-of-the-art extruder compound lines and equipment.

2002

New Compounding Line Investments

In line with increasing demand, new compound line investments, along with additional equipment for our Quality Control and R&D laboratories, have been made. As a result, the annual production capacity has reached 20,000 tons.

2006

Moving to new Factory Building in Free Zone

At the beginning of 2012, Gema moved to its new production plant to enhance its premium service quality and increase production capacity. Gema Polimer continues to operate with high efficiency thanks to its specialized technical department and state-of-the-art machinery, manufacturing products in line with international quality standards, with an average annual capacity of 40,000 tons.

2012

New compound solutions for the Hygiene Industry

Gema has launched its new product series for the hygiene industry, designed for the production of breathable films and non-wovens.

BOPP Masterbatch solutions

Gema has launched its new product line for BOPP film applications:

• Pearlized
• White Pearlized
• Slip
• Antistatic
• Antiblock
• Slip-Antiblock

2015

New Factory investment in Silivri, Istanbul

Gema established its new production plant in Silivri, Istanbul. The facility is equipped with 2 new compounding lines and 2 complete recycling lines. The production capacity of the new plant is approximately 20,000 tons.

2017

Compounding Line Investments

In line with increasing demand, new compound line investments, along with additional equipment for our Quality Control and R&D laboratories, have been made. As a result, the annual production capacity has reached 80,000 tons.

In order to further strengthen our R&D unit, we moved to our new laboratory area with new equipment investments.
